Interviewer: First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time for letting us get to know you.

Danny McMillan: The pleasure is all mine. Tell me, what would you like to know?

Interviewer: What was your reaction in the courtroom?

Danny: I was completely unaware about my dad abusing my mom. I could not simply believe what was happening.

Interviewer: What did you expect for your father's sentence?

Danny: I don't know a lot about the justice system. Despite that, I was hoping my father would be out of prison in a few more weeks. Everyone will forget about everything and we would be a happy family once again.

Interviewer: What is the one thing you miss most about being with your father?

Danny: We did many adventurous things together. I really miss fishing with him at our cottage.

Interviewer: Do you think you could have done anything to prevent your parents from being separated?

Danny: As I previously mentioned, I was completely unaware about my dad abusing my mom. By the time I found out, I was in shock and I could not do anything. Despite that, I tried to convince my mom. However, with all the support she was receiving, she was dedicated to keep him in prison and relocate ourselves.

Interviewer: What was the hardest part of moving?

Danny: That one move changed my life drastically. I really miss my friends, home, and grandparents. The hardest part was forgetting my grandparents. They supported us throughout our miserable times, and we then had to leave them forever.

Interviewer: Who's side are you really on Danny?

Danny: I was first on my father's side, as I was really close with him. When I found out about him abusing my mother, I was on neither sides. I was then on my mother's side when realized how much my mother has sacrificed in order to keep me safe and happy.

Interviewer: What could you have done in order to improve your grades in your new school?

Danny: At that point in time, I did not care about school. However, if I simply did my homework that I was assigned, my marks would have improved significantly.

Interviewer: Do you think you should have been more sympathetic and respectful towards your mother?

Danny:  I completely agree with you. I was very inconsiderate and I treated my mother awfully. She had been extremely  caring and generous no matter how awfully I treated her.

Interviewer: Do you still wish to meet your father once?

Danny: I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I think he will realize his mistake and change. When he sincerely  apologizes and changes, I would really like to meet him.

Interviewer: That is all I would like to know. I would like to thank you once again for talking your time to tell us about yourself.

Danny:  No problem. The pleasure was all mine. Thank you.
